Sound man Steven Gerrard sent LA Galaxy fans a feed of beer before their game last night

Gerrard sent several crates of beer to the fans’ 4th of July party

NEW SIGNING STEVEN Gerrard was introduced to the LA Galaxy crowd last night during their 4-0 win over Toronto last night, ahead of his potential debut in two weeks time.

With Americans enjoying 4th of July yesterday, the hardcore Galaxy fans, known as the “LA Riot Squad” held their “Picnication” party before the game, and the refreshments table was well stocked, courtesy of their new signing.

If first impressions last forever, Gerrard is going to be a big hit in LA, after sending several cases of beer, along with a special note to the fans.

The note reads: “Even though I’ve yet to wear an LA Galaxy jersey, I am excited for the opportunity to play in front of LARS (LA Riot Squad) and earn your respect.

“Supporters are the lifeblood of any club and I know that with your support we’ll challenge for MLS Cup again.

“As a token of my appreciation for what you do for the club, I wanted to provide you with the refreshments for the 4th of July.

“I look forward to meeting you at tonight’s match.”

A clever move from Gerrard to get the fans on his side so early, and a nice touch of class along with it.
