Tipperary's Waterford Crystal Cup tie against UL has been postponed

A new date will be announced tomorrow for the game.

TODAY”S WATERFORD CRYSTAL Cup semi-final between Tipperary and UL has fallen foul of the weather.

McDonagh Park in Nenagh has been deemed unplayable and the match has been postponed as a result. A new date will be announced tomorrow for the game.

UL’s Fitzgibbon Cup campaign could complicate efforts to stage the game as they open next Thursday with a Group B clash against UCD.

It is the second major inter-county game to be postponed this weekend after last night’s Dr McKenna Cup final in Ulster between Tyrone and Cavan was also called off due to adverse weather conditions at Brewster Park in Enniskillen.

The other Waterford Crystal Cup semi-final tie between Clare and UCC is still scheduled to take place today in Sixmilebridge.
