Captain America Todd Clever decimates hapless reporter in rugby demo

“And this is how you tackle!”

TODD CLEVER EARNED his captaincy stripes in New Plymouth in 2011 when he almost single-handedly caused an upset victory over Ireland at the World Cup.

Brian O’Driscoll, Paul O’Connell and Geordan Murphy all felt the full force of a Clever cleaver that night.

In tribute to the captain, who leads his side into a Test match against Ireland [at 1:30am Sunday morning on TG4], here is Clever doing what he does best to a guy who has no idea what he’s doing:
