Truth. Stranger. Fiction: Valuev takes to the mountains in search of the yeti

Nikolai Valuev is hoping to sit down with the Siberian Snowman and have a nice chat about life.

FORMER BOXING CHAMPION and terrifying looking man Nikolai Valuev is in Siberia trying to track down the mysterious yeti.

The ‘Beast From The East,’ who quit the ring after losing to David Haye, is on a hunt for the creature known as the ‘Siberian Snowman.’

Valuev stands at seven feet tall and weighs 23 stone, making him one of the few humans on earth who would tower over the six feet tall yeti.

“I’m only going to be here for two days, ” Valuev told the BBC from his expedition convoy.

“And I believe that miracles only happen at Christmas time. I doubt whether the yeti is going to run into the road and greet our truck with open arms. But I’ll let you know if I see anything.”

As Valuev trained his eye on the road ahead and practiced his barbaric yawp, a spokesman said that the boxer was hoping to ‘talk to the yeti about life.’
