ROBIN VAN PERSIE last night completed a medical at Bridgewater Hospital ahead of an agreed transfer to Manchester United.
The Arsenal captain’s protracted exit from the Emirates Stadium was confirmed on Wednesday.
The Gunners and United announced they had agreed to terms of the transfer, which will cost the Premier League runners-up £24 million. Van Persie had earlier in the close season announced he would not extend his contract with the north London club after his contract expired at the end of the forthcoming season.
The Netherlands striker will put pen to paper on a four-year deal worth a reported £235,000 a week.
