WHEN RUGBY’S FIXTURE list pits Ukraine and Poland together, you know fireworks are on the way.

Or at least, we do now.

Get the popcorn out and enjoy this brawl from Saturday’s Rugby World Cup qualifier in Gdynia – particularly the trundling Polish lock trying to lay a big schlap on the Ukraine hooker, missing, and getting caught with a trademark winger’s cheap-shot in the ear.

As you can see from the video, Ukraine were leading their hosts 12 – 3 before both sides had a man red-carded after the brawl.

Evidently the extra space on the field suited Poland as they went on to overturn the nine-point half-time deficit and win the game 13-12.

The four points pushes them to within three points of Germany on top of Pool B with a game in hand.
