Ruby Walsh and Willie Mullins team up to win €565,000 race -- in Japan

Blackstairmountain won Japan’s richest race, the Nakayama Grand Jump, in the early hours of Saturday morning.

TRAINER WILLIE MULLINS and jockey Ruby Walsh combined to make history again yesterday by winning Japan’s richest horse race, the Nakayama Grand Jump.

Blackstairmountain won the 65 million yen (€565,000) top prize on offer in the Grade 1 race held just outside Tokyo in the early hours of Saturday morning.
