Today's All-Ireland club semi-final double-header at the Gaelic Grounds is off

There had been intermediate hurling and junior football ties scheduled for the Limerick venue.

POOR WEATHER CONDITIONS have resulted in today’s AIB All-Ireland club semi-final double-header at the Gaelic Grounds in Limerick being postponed.

The action was scheduled to get underway at 1pm with the intermediate hurling meeting of Cork’s Youghal and Galway’s Kilnadeema-Leitrim. The junior football clash of Kerry’s Keel and Roscommon’s Fuerty had been pencilled in for 2.45pm.

However both games have been postponed due to an unplayable pitch at the Gaelic Grounds. The ties are likely to be refixed for next weekend as the finals in both championships are scheduled for the following weekend.

The intermediate hurling final is pencilled in for Saturday February 8th with the other semi-final taking place today between Kilkenny’s Rower-Inistioge and Antrim’s Clooney Gaels in Navan. The junior football final has been scheduled for Sunday February 9th with Kildare’s Two Mile House and Monaghan’s Emyvale facing off in the other semi-final today in Longford.
