Paul Pogba to Barcelona
DESPITE JOHAN CRYUFF branding Paul Pogba’s valuation as “absurd,” the Catalan club remain heavily linked with the French international. A transfer ban means he won’t be able to play for Luis Enrique’s side until next year, but it hasn’t stopped them from signing Arda Turan already.
Daniele Rugani to Arsenal
The defender is considered one of Italy’s brightest prospects, but is struggling to get first-team football, with Giorgio Chiellini and Leonardo Bonucci ahead of him in the pecking order at the back. The 20-year-old is valued at just over €20 million, and may be just the type of player the Gunners need in their back four.
David De Gea to Real Madrid
Whether it’s this summer or next, it seems inevitable that De Gea will join Real Madrid at some point. However, with the goalkeeper’s contract set to expire next year, the Red Devils may still be keen to sell now rather than letting the goalkeeper leave for nothing next summer.
Christian Benteke to Liverpool
The latest reports suggest Liverpool are prepared to meet the €46.5 million release clause in the striker’s contract, though it’s understood that Man United are also keen on the player, so this could another protracted summer saga.
Sergio Ramos to Manchester United
The Red Devils are reported to have made a final €50 million offer for the player, with David De Gea moving the other way potentially part of any deal between the two clubs.
Gonzalo Higuain to the Premier League
Napoli’s president insists the player won’t be sold, though with Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal all understood to be interested in Higuain, a deal may eventually be done despite the Italian club’s best efforts to keep the player.
Edinson Cavani to Manchester United
Man United remain in the market for a striker and with Bayern Munich’s Robert Lewandowski looking unlikely to move, PSG’s Edinson Cavani may be the Red Devils’ best bet. And the French club may be tempted, particularly if Angel Di Maria is thrown in as part of the deal.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic to Milan
With Milan having struggled in recent seasons, Ibrahimovic is the type of inspirational figure they need to help hit past heights. However, many critics expect a long and complicated negotiation process before any prospective deal goes through.
Kevin de Bruyne to Manchester City
Any deal involving De Bruyne would be expected to cost City in the region of €50 million, and the Belgian international may be tempted to prove former employers Chelsea — who let him go in 2014 — wrong. Interestingly though, City striker Edin Dzeko has urged the player to stay at Wolfsburg.
Pedro Rodriguez to Chelsea
The Londoners appear close to signing the €30 million-rated forward, despite manager Luis Enrique suggesting the Catalan club are eager to hold onto the 27-year-old attacker.
