Clare's Colm Galvin has already started winning hurling silverware with Tipp in Boston

Galvin has opted to make the move Stateside this summer.

THE CLARE HURLERS have had to get used to life without Colm Galvin this summer as he’s shipped up to Boston.

An All-Ireland senior medallist and Allstar winner in 2013, midfielder Galvin has also collected All-Ireland U21 medals over the past three years.

But he’s pucking around Stateside this summer following his departure in April and Galvin has already  picked up silverware.

22 year-0ld Galvin is in action for the Tipperary hurling club and they won the Sheehan Cup final in Boston last weekend by 2-11 to 1-12 against Fr Tom Burke’s.

Galvin made his mark as well as he struck two goals, including one from a penalty.

One of Galvin’s teammates was William Egan, who lined out for Cork against Clare in the 2013 All-Ireland senior hurling final.

Both Galvin and Egan’s former teammates are getting set for All-Ireland qualifier ties on 4 July and 11 July after their recent Munster championship exits.
