Down in the deep dark Fédérale 1 – two tiers lower, two tiers meaner than France’s top division — the men of Nevers (in yellow) and Lombez-Samatan (in red stripes) made sure not to let an opportunity to vent all that pent up aggression pass unnoticed this weekend.
Perhaps it was the thought of all that time they would be forced to wait until their next game on 17 January. Or maybe it was the 40 – 0 trouncing visitors Lombez-Samatan were on course for after a long trip to central France, but this one boiled over so much that the brawl extended from halfway to near the 22 and back again.
