DURING THE HALF-time break of the Premier League meeting between Everton and Swansea at Goodison Park last month, nine-year-old George Shaw scored a special goal in front of the Gwlady’s Street End.
The Toffees fan, who has cerebral palsy, was a guest of Everton winger Gerard Deulofeu for the day and also got to meet a number of his heroes.
That strike was nominated alongside the likes of Ross Barkley, Kevin Mirallas and Aaron Lennon for the club’s January Goal of the Month, and ran away with the award — picking up 86% of votes.
Here’s an elated George receiving the news today. He has also been invited to attend the end of season awards evening.
Great stuff.
