A bad few days got worse for Harry Arter this afternoon

The Bournemouth player was seen leaving the club’s ground on crutches earlier.

HARRY ARTER HASN’T had the best of luck lately.

Firstly, after many had tipped the midfielder to make his competitive debut for Ireland in one of the upcoming fixtures against either Georgia or Moldova, an unfortunately timed injury meant that he was unavailable for these matches.

After his withdrawal, the 26-year-old midfielder received a number of vile messages on Twitter after a false rumour, which suggested he was considering declaring for England, spread through social media.

Furthermore, after Arter recovered in time to face Hull today, the Cherries star subsequently picked up another knock.

Although he completed 90 minutes, there was concern for Arter as he was seen leaving the Vitality Stadium on crutches earlier, according to BBC South reporter Kris Temple.

Arter was not the only Irish international to pick up a knock today. James McClean appeared to be in plenty of pain after coming off badly following a poor challenge on Tottenham’s Ben Davies, with the Derry native picking up a booking for the ill-timed tackle.

However, like Arter, McClean still managed complete 90 minutes for his side.

The extent of both players’ knocks has yet to be confirmed.
