John Ryan back in Ireland camp, Carbery Schmidt's only new injury absence

The Leinster playmaker suffered a fractured wrist and went under the knife yesterday.

MUNSTER PROP JOHN Ryan has returned to Ireland’s training camp in Carton House after missing the win over Fiji with a calf injury.

The tighthead re-joined Joe Schmidt’s squad preparations for the final November Test against Argentina last night. He brings the head coach’s tighthead options back up to three after both 21-year-old Andrew Porter and Tadhg Furlong played a part in the 23 – 20 win over the Pacific islanders.

With only ‘bumps and bruises’ reported for 22 of the men who played on Saturday, the union’s medics confirmed a fractured wrist for Joey Carbery.

The Leinster playmaker is understood to have undergone surgery on the issue yesterday and will be out until the New Year.
