Louis van Gaal REALLY loves saying that watching United causes him to 'twitch his ass'

Is this Van Gaal’s ‘squeaky bum time’?

AHEAD OF TONIGHT’S FA Cup game with Cambridge United, Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal has come up with a rather colourful way of describing what it’s like watching his team play.

When asked by journalists about his continued use of 3-5-2, the Dutchman said he could prove statistically that the formation was more successful for United than a traditional 4-4-2.

However, he accepts that it sometimes means he’s nervous watching his side adapt it.

“I know all the stats. I read the stats. I know that we have won more with 4-4-2 in a diamond.

“But when you analyse the game then we have twitched our ass on the bench.

“I said to my players I was squeezing my ass but it was the wrong expression, I have twitched my ass on the bench because we were out of balance.”

So there you have it. Your new favourite nervousness catchphrase.
