Michael Conlan is heading to Chicago for his second pro fight

The Belfast boxer will be in action in the US on 26 May, according to promoter Bob Arum.

FOLLOWING ON FROM his eagerly-awaited professional debut, Michael Conlan has been lined up for his next bout.

The Belfast boxer stopped American Tim Ibarra 59 seconds into the third round in front of 5,102 at Madison Square Garden on St Patrick’s weekend.

25-year-old Conlan, a former world champion at amateur level and two-time Olympian, is under the wing of Top Rank promotions and CEO Bob Arum has revealed that he will fight in Chicago on 26 May.

No opponent has been announced, but the bout will take place at the UIC Pavilion and he is likely to have a strong Irish following in the States once again.
