Super Sunday

Cancel all your plans! Today is shaping up to be an unbelievable day of sport

There is so much live televised action, you’ll genuinely struggle to fit it all in.

Super Sunday Ireland, Real Madrid and Liverpool all have massive games on Sunday.

SKY SPORTS TEND to use the phrase all too often, but this weekend has thrown up a bonafide ‘Super Sunday’.

To kick us off, the Premier League lunch-time fixture sees Everton and Liverpool meet in the first Merseyside derby of the season. Also at 1.30pm, Dutch giants Ajax host champions PSV Eindhoven in the Eredivisie.

In the second FAI Cup semi-final, Bray Wanderers entertain Cork City and kick-off at the Carlisle Grounds is 2pm.

They are followed at 4pm by a top of the table clash as Manchester United travel to north London for a clash with fourth-placed Arsenal, who would go level on points with Louis van Gaal’s side with a win.

Meanwhile, Ireland are midway through Pool D at the Rugby World Cup and face Italy at the Olympic Stadium at the same time.

And that’s not all.

The Bundesliga’s top two, champions Bayern Munich and the resurgent Borussia Dortmund face off at 4.30pm, which means you’ll have to choose between all three or get your hands on multiple screens.

Later that evening, there’s the small matter of a Madrid derby in La Liga and French champions Paris Saint-Germain host struggling Marseille in ‘Le Classique’.

If that doesn’t do it for you, there’s live golf, darts and American football too.

Probably best to cancel any plans you had immediately. Here’s a run-down of what’s on, when and where:
