January silverware and colleges showdowns - here's the key 33 GAA fixtures this week

The 2017 Fitzgibbon and Sigerson Cups start this week.

THE FOOTBALLERS OF Dublin, Louth, Roscommon, Galway, Tyrone and Derry will all have the chance to land some early season silverware this weekend.

The finals of the January football fare in Leinster, Connacht and Ulster will see the spoils up for grabs in the O’Byrne Cup, FBD League and Dr McKenna Cup.

It’s also a busy week of action with the opening games taking place in the 2017 Fitzgibbon and Sigerson Cup while the All-Ireland intermediate and junior club football and hurling championships reach the semi-final stages on Sunday.
