Open thread: Have teams figured out how to beat Barcelona?
Are Lionel Messi and co suffering a mini-crisis, or was last night’s result just a blip.
Have teams now figured out how to play Barcelona? Or are those aforementioned results merely temporary blips for a football side that is routinely described as the best team in the world.
Open thread: Have teams figured out how to beat Barcelona?
FOLLOWING THEIR CONSUMMATE 2011 defeat of Man United in the Champions League Final, Barcelona were described by some pundits as unplayable.
However, since then, the awe in which the side are invariably held has dwindled to an extent.
First, they were knocked out by a pragmatic Chelsea side in the Champions League last year, in addition to only finishing runners-up in La Liga.
And last night, there were further doubts raised about the team’s ability, as they failed to break down a clearly inferior Celtic side and ultimately lost 2-1.
So what do you think?
