Mic'd up Brad Guzan interviewed by TV commentators during the MLS All-Star game

The ex-Aston Villa goalkeeper chatted away while the ball was in play.

THE MLS ALL-Stars faced Juventus last night, and ex-US and Aston Villa goalkeeper Brad Guzan was between the sticks against the Serie A champions.

With Guzan mic’d up, the television commentators chatted away to the Atlanta United stopper during the first half — while the ball was in play.

We’ve seen football managers and coaches being interviewed during matches, but this is taking it to another level.

The concept has been used in cricket but have we seen the future, or is it just technology for the sake of it?

The game finished 1-1 thanks to goals from Andrea Favilli and Josef Martinez, and Bradley Wright-Phillips missed a penalty as Juve won the shootout 5-3.
