'I am the bottom of the food chain': GAA club players fight for their rights in new video

Club Players Association releases video ahead of GAA Congress vote.

“I AM THE GAA club player. I am the bottom of the food chain.”

“I am the fella who must organise his whole life around the fixtures of an inter-county team I will never play for.”

“I am the lifeblood of the Association, so they say.”

GAA club players from across the country have produced this video as they continue to fight for their rights.

The newly-formed Club Players Association, which already boasts over 20,000 members, will seek formal recognition from the GAA at Congress this weekend.

As hundreds of thousands of club players return to training, and with championship structures down for discussion once again, CPA members are reiterating their plea for GAA bosses to “fix the fixtures” in a way that benefits all.
