Cristiano Ronaldo: I am going to retire at Real Madrid

The 31-year-old’s current contract expires in 2018 and he’s been linked with PSG and Manchester United.

CRISTIANO RONALDO INSISTS he is ready to retire at Real Madrid and is willing to sign a contract extension.

The 31-year-old’s current deal expires in 2018 and he has been linked with Paris Saint-Germain and a return to Manchester United.

Earlier this year, Ronaldo also hinted that he could be open to a switch to Major League Soccer but the Portugal international is now ready to see out his career in the Spanish capital.

“It’s obvious I want to stay I here. I think I am going to retire at Real Madrid,” Ronaldo told La Sexta’s ‘Jugones’ show ahead of Saturday night’s Champions League decider against Atletico Madrid.

“Renewal after the Champions League final? Let’s see. Real Madrid would be smart if they extend my contract. I am happy at Real Madrid. I can see no club better than this one.”

Ronaldo played a full part in Real Madrid’s training session today, calming fears over his availability for this weekend’s game in Milan after he picked up a knock yesterday.
