Galway and Tipperary players claim GAA player of the month awards for June

Good news for Michael Quinlivan and Daithi Burke.

GALWAY HURLER DAITHI Burke and Tipperary footballer Michael Quinlivan have been rewarded for their playing exploits in the month of July.

The duo were this evening named the GAA-GPA Opel Player of the Month winners for July.

Quinlivan saw off fellow nominees in Gary Brennan (Clare) and Patrick McBrearty (Donegal)

The Clonmel Commercials man helped Tipperary recover from their Munster final loss to claim notable victories over Derry and Galway as they advance to a historic All-Ireland semi-final clash with Mayo on 21 August.

Burke was man-of-the-match in Galway’s All-Ireland quarter-final win over Clare as they bounced back from the Leinster final defeat to Kilkenny.

They’ll take on Tipperary next Sunday in Croke Park.
