Djokovic in form on and off the court

The Serb has been stirring up the world of tennis in more ways than one.

WITH THE 2011 US Open just around the corner, all eyes in the tennis world have been on Montreal this week.

Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer and Andy Murray have all been beaten, leaving very little to stand in the way of world number one and the man on a stunning run – Novak Djokovic.

The Serb’s surge to the top of the rankings is primarily down to the fact he has only been beaten once this year – by Federer at the French Open – and he faces Frenchman Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in the semi-finals of the Roger Cup on Saturday evening. Mardy Fish will play one of Djokovic’s compatriot, Janko Tipsarevic, in the other semi-final.

Montreal highlights:

For those not so familiar with Djokovic, however, he is one of the tour’s characters as shown by some of his performances at the 2007 US Open at Flushing Meadows. Few have escaped his attention, but here are two of his very best impressions.

And just to see HOW good his party pieces are, check out this video montage from the Australian Open:
