Munster confirm Donnacha Ryan missed Ireland camp with concussion

It’s a second head injury in as many games for the second row.

MUNSTER HAVE CONFIRMED that Donnacha Ryan did not feature in Ireland’s one-day training camp at Johnstown House on Sunday after sustaining a concussion in Saturday’s loss to Connacht in the Guiness Pro12.

The second row was one of two players to suffer a head injury in the game with the province also confirming that Johnny Holland sustained a concussion and is now following the return to play protocols.

It is a second head injury in as many games for Ryan having suffered a concussion against Leinster two weeks ago.

In other news, Munster confirmed that prop Peter McCabe has signed a one-year development contract while winger Alex Wootton becomes the fifth player to graduate from the academy this season following Rory Scannell, Sean McCarthy, David Johnston and John Madigan’s promotions.

Both McCabe and Wootton will remain at the province until at least June 2017.
