KERRY FOOTBALLER PAUL GALVIN is unlikely to line out for DIT when the college open their Sigerson Cup campaign against the University of Limerick tomorrow.

The signing of the temperamental wing-forward, who quit his job as a secondary school teacher to study fashion at the Dublin college, was seen as a magnificent boost to their cup hopes.

However, Galvin is yet to recover from the hip injury saw him miss the start of Kerry’s league campaign.

Speaking to the Kerry GAA website yesterday, manager Jack O’Connor identified a number of his players who will feature in Sigerson Cup action this week, expressing his hope that none of them pick up an injury.

That list included Jonathan Lyne, Brian Maguire, Peter Crowley, Anthony Maher, David Moran, Barry John Walsh, Gary O’Driscoll and Daithí Casey.

There was no mention of Galvin, however, which strongly suggests that he will take no part in tomorrow’s game.
