Holt stays at Norwich after inking new deal

Chris Hughton has managed to persuade the striker to stay at Carrow Road, signing a new three-year deal.

NORWICH STRIKER Grant Holt has ended speculation about his future by signing a new three-year deal with the club, it was confirmed on today.

Holt was one of the revelations of Norwich’s return to the top-flight last year, scoring 15 goals to help the club stay in the Premier League.

However the 31-year-old stunned the Carrow Road hierarchy by handing in a transfer request which was later rejected by the club.

Norwich have reportedly turned down several bids for club captain Holt, with newly promoted West Ham attempting to lure the striker to Upton Park. The news will be seen as a victory for new Canaries boss, former Ireland international Chris Hughton.
