In video: Tipp expecting tough battle from Déise

After last year’s close run thing with Galway in the All-Ireland quarter-final, the Premier don’t fancy taking the long road to Croke Park again.

THE TIPPERARY HURLING panel is taking nothing for granted ahead of this weekend’s Munster SHC final.

The Liam MacCarthy Cup holders take on Munster champions Waterford at Pairc Uí Chaoimh on Sunday (throw-in 4pm, have I mentioned we’ll liveblog the action).

Members of the Premier panel, including veterans Eoin Kelly and Benny Dunne, have been reflecting on previous battles with Waterford and assessing the threat they pose this year.

Kelly says that after last year’s thrilling quarter-final scare against Galway, Tipp are keen to take the direct route to the All-Ireland semi final.
