SIMON MIGNOLET RETURNED to the Liverpool team sooner than expected against Burnley in the Premier League today.

The goalkeeper was recently dropped, after a poor run of form, by manager Brendan Rodgers.

However, the Liverpool boss had little choice but to reintroduce him into the action in this afternoon’s match, after his replacement Brad Jones picked up an injury in the 16th minute.

Meanwhile, Raheem Sterling gave the Reds the win with a second-half strike to end their recent poor run of form.
