BRAY WANDERERS HEAPED more misery on Longford Town tonight as goals in each half gave the Seagulls a 2-0 Premier Division victory at City Calling Stadium.

The result means bottom-of-the-table Longford, whose only win this season came on the opening night, are still eight points adrift of Wexford Youths, who also have a game in hand.

Ninth-placed Bray, meanwhile, continued their good run of form, which has seen them lose just once in their last 12 fixtures under Harry Kenny.

Ger Pender opened the scoring for Bray four minutes before the interval, firing home the rebound after Dylan Connolly headed Kevin Lynch’s cross off the crossbar.

Darragh Noone sealed the victory for the visitors with three minutes of normal time remaining, as he reacted quickest to the rebound after Ryan Coulter could only parry Connolly’s strike.

Bray Wanderers: Peter Cherrie; Hugh Douglas, Alan McNally, Conor Kenna (c), Kevin Lynch; John Sullivan (Jason Marks, 10); Karl Moore, Mark Salmon), Darragh Noone (Gareth McDonagh, 89), Dylan Connolly; Ger Pender (Alan Kehoe, 70).
