MICHAEL BISPING IS set to make his first UFC title defence later this year in a long-awaited rematch against Dan Henderson.

UFC president Dana White revealed last night that Bisping v Henderson 2 is in the works for a card which could take place in the middleweight champion’s home town of Manchester.

“It’s a fight that the champ wants,” White said after UFC 200. “It’s a fight that the fans want.

“I’m thinking about doing it in Manchester, England.”

Henderson has been out of contract with the UFC since his win against Hector Lombard last month and White clarified that the fight “is not actually signed yet.”

But it looks very likely that Bisping will get a chance to avenge the stunning KO defeat he suffered at Henderson’s hands at UFC 100 in 2009.
