Neil Lennon keeps job after Bolton investigate newspaper claims about his private life

The club released a statement on their official website today.

NEIL LENNON WILL be in the dugout for Bolton’s game against Rotherham on St Stephen’s Day, after the club concluded an investigation into newspaper claims about his private life.

The club, who are in administration and currently sit bottom of the Championship, had launched an investigation in response to claims made in a Sunday Mirror article.

A statement on the matter released today on the club’s official website read as follows: “Bolton Wanderers Football Club can announce that they have now concluded an internal investigation into an article published in The Sunday Mirror on Sunday 20 December.

“The club has dealt with the matter internally and acted accordingly, details of which will remain private.

“Neil Lennon will remain in charge of the first team squad.

“The club will be making no further comment on the matter.”
