NEW YORK BOSS Justin O’Halloran has included Danny Sutcliffe and Tom Cunniffe in his starting team to face Sligo in the Connacht SFC preliminary round on Sunday.
Both Sutcliffe and Cunniffe will make their championship debuts for New York against Sligo, although Cunniffe has played in his competition before and lifted the Connacht title on five occasions in the past.
Primarily a hurler, this will be Sutcliffe’s first football game at this level. He forms part of an extremely strong half-forward line alongside Wicklow man Conor McGraynor and former Donegal player Ross Wherity.
Goalkeeper Vinny Cadden will line out between the posts against his former county.
