Yes, Peyton Manning is now the owner of 21 Papa John's pizza restaurants

It sounds like a Friday joke, but it’s actually a “smart investment” according to the Denver Broncos quarterback.

SINCE HIS MOVE to Denver, Peyton Manning clearly couldn’t wait to get a pizza the action. (Sorry, we’ll show ourselves out.)

The Broncos quarterback announced his latest purchase today. Not a fancy car or a nice new watch, but 21 — TWENTY-ONE — Papa John’s pizza restaurants in the Denver area.

Manning becomes the restaurant’s newest franchisee, extending a business partnership which dates back to 2011 when he first appeared in one of their ads.

“It’s a smart investment now and will be long after I’m done playing football,” Manning said. Whatever you say, buddy…
