Notorious nose-grower Pinocchio is the mascot for cycling’s Road World Championships which take place in Tuscany next year.
Popularised by Disney, the Pinocchio character was originally created by Italian author Carlo Collodi who set his book in Florence. ”Ours is a Pinocchio connected to his origins, happy, athletic and attentive,” the blurb on the competition website explains.
Just don’t mention the doping…
