The Banner are without both David McInerney and Aron Shanagher, while Michael Ryan’s Tipp features three changes from their previous win over Dublin.
Then on Sunday, beaten Leinster finalists Wexford go head-to-head with Waterford in search of a prestigious semi-final spot.
The redeveloped Páirc Uí Chaoimh also plays host to this fixture, with throw-in at 4pm [Live on RTÉ].
Twelve months ago, the Déise were comfortable victors over Wexford at the quarter-final stage, winning 0-21 to 0-11.
