MAN UNITED WERE BEATEN 3-0 against Liverpool this afternoon, but they’ll surely feel somewhat lucky that Rafael avoided a red card in the game.

Having already been booked, the full-back was penalised for a deliberate handball in the box — something that normally results in an automatic yellow card.

However, there has been recent talk, in the wake of some high-profile incidents, that the concession of a penalty is punishment enough in such circumstances.
