Frantic few moments there as Scotland intercept the ball, come charging down the field and Higgins just about wins the race for possession.

79 mins: Scotland 19-19 Ireland
Penalty advantage for Scotland. And the referee eventually awards it. They look to be a bit too far out to go for the posts so they will go to the corner and Ireland have to protect the house again.
Just too many errors, and too many injuries to key players costs Ireland in the end. They still finish the competition in third place but they have plenty to work on from that performance if they want to be ready for the World Cup.
Probably the most pressing issue though is the extent of Dorothy Wall’s injury and whether she will be fit to play in the World Cup.
