Shamrock Rovers announce quartet of new signings

Roberto Lopes, Ryan Connolly, Paul Corry and Daniel Devine have all joined the Hoops.

SHAMROCK  ROVERS HAVE confirmed the arrival of four new players for next season.

The SSE Airtricity League Premier Division side, who finished fourth in the table in 2016, announced Stephen Bradley as their permanent head coach earlier this week.

And he is clearly intent on getting business done early with midfielders Roberto Lopes, Ryan Connolly, Paul Corry as well as defender Daniel Devine all joining.

Lopes arrives from rivals Bohemians, while Ryan Connolly was an integral player for Galway United for the past couple of seasons.

Former UCD man Paul Corry returns to the League of Ireland after spells with Sheffield Wednesday and Northampton Town, and Belfast native Devine has swapped Patrick Thistle for Tallaght Stadium.

All four players are aged 25 or under.

Meanwhile, former Hoops midfielder Stephen Rice has been appointed head coach of their U17 side.
