VIDEO: 'It's early days and there is a lot to improve on'

Cork forward Ciaran Sheehan gives his thoughts after a man-of-the-match performance yesterday.

TWELVE MONTHS AGO Ciaran Sheehan endured a wretched Munster final experience as Cork lost out to Kerry and the attacker saw his 2011 playing season ended after tearing his cruciate ligament during the second-half of the clash in the Fitzgerald Stadium.

Yet yesterday was a provincial senior football decider with a difference for Sheehan. It’s been a long road back to full fitness but he was rewarded as Cork swept to a twelve-point victory over Clare in the Gaelic Grounds and the Eire Og club man played a central role.

The centre-forward struck four points from play during Cork’s 3-16 to 0-13 success and was awarded the man-of-the-match bauble after the game as a result.

Here’s his reaction to Cork’s victory when speaking to TV3 after the game.
