WAYNE ROONEY IS absent from Man United’s squad to face Feyenoord for their opening Europa League game in Rotterdam tomorrow.
The England international has been a virtual ever present for the Red Devils since joining the club in 2004.
It’s unclear why Rooney is not travelling — the attacker was poor in last weekend’s Manchester derby, but with the Premier League very much the priority for the Red Devils this season, Mourinho may feel that the 30-year-old needs to be used somewhat sparingly in the coming campaign.
Man United squad to face Feyenoord: De Gea, Romero, Johnstone; Darmian, Bailly, Blind, Fosu-Mensah, Rojo, Smalling; Carrick, Fellaini, Herrera, Mata, Memphis, Pogba, Schneiderlin, Young; Ibrahimovic, Martial, Rashford.
