LAOIS’ ZACH TUOHY demonstrated immense levels of composure on Saturday, as the former inter-county footballer executed a magnificent match-winning goal with the last kick of the game for Geelong FC.
The Cats were facing into a 98-94 defeat at the hands of Melbourne when the Portlaoise man plucked the ball from the air with a sublime mark.
The 28-year-old had the chance to snatch a dramatic late winner right at the death and made no mistake with a pinpoint kick which sailed between the posts to make it a memorable 100-98 victory.
A Leinster Minor Championship winner in 2007, Tuohy is enjoying his eighth season in Aussie Rules.
He made his 150th AFL appearance back in February, becoming just the fourth Irish player to reach the landmark.
