Swansea striker Gomis 'fine' after worrying collapse at White Hart Lane
Updated 21.00
BAFETIMBI GOMIS COLLAPSED on the pitch during Swansea’s Premier League match at Tottenham Hotspur this evening.
The French international is “fine” after he was stretchered off at White Hart Lane, Swansea confirmed.
There was nobody near Gomis when he fell on the edge of the centre circle as the teams prepared to resume following an early Spurs goal.
The game was delayed for over five minutes as Gomis was treated by both medical teams, who administered oxygen.
BBC report that the 29-year-old was “conscious and speaking” as he was substituted and brought for further medical attention.
Gomis has a history of losing consciousness and fainted twice in the space of a week in 2009 while at Lyon.
Neymar opened the scoring for Barca tonight – but it’s all about the assist by Messi
