WE DON’T CLAIM to be parenting experts here at The42 but we’re pretty sure there was any number of alternative approaches this baseball fan could have taken if he really wanted this souvenir so badly.
There’s the obvious option of putting the kid down for two seconds, then making a play for the ball.
Option two was to ask someone else to hold the little girl. Again, it would only be for a couple of seconds and the risk of abduction is quite low considering the thousands of witnesses.
But no, this guy went for option three; nearly dropping his daughter before crushing her and eventually causing her to cry.
