Cowboy Cerrone suffers crushing defeat to Darren Till at UFC event in Gdansk

The Scouser made a statement.

DARREN TILL MADE a huge statement last night at UFC Fight Night 118, as he stopped Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone in the first round in Gdansk.

It was a massively impressive display from the Liverpool native.

“I come in here, I believe I can beat anyone in this division,” he said.

Afterwards, Cerrone released a statement in which he confirmed his nose was broken, meaning a possible slot on the UFC 219 card on December 30 is now unlikely.

After the win, Till — who picked up one of the performance of the night bonuses –  got into a shouting match with welterweight on the rise, Mike ‘Platinum’ Perry.

Conor McGregor’s SBG stablemate Artem Lobov, meanwhile was beaten by Andre Fili via unanimous decision. He hinted at retirement afterwards and vowed to keep fans updated.

Local favourite Karolina Kowalkiewicz earned a unanimous decision over Jodie Equibel in the co-feature.
