HE MAY HAVE been overshadowed by the high calibre shooting of his team-mates but Mayo’s Colm Boyle still produced one of the plays of the weekend.
Boyle showed tremendous athleticism and commitment to pull off a fantastic block down from an attempted shot by Sligo’s Adrian Marren in the Connacht football final on Sunday.
Boyle’s efforts show that, despite Mayo’s dominance, they won’t be letting standards slip in defence any time soon.
