Semple Stadium to host hurling league final, U21 football set for Ennis

Waterford and Clare are heading back to Thurles in a fortnight’s time.

SEMPLE STADIUM WILL host the Allianz National Hurling League Division 1 final between Waterford and Clare.

The Thurles venue hosted both semi-finals yesterday with holders Waterford beating Limerick while Clare are set for their first top-flight final since 2005 after they stunned Kilkenny.

Throw-in has been confirmed for 3.30pm on Sunday 1 May.

Meanwhile Cusack Park in Ennis will host the EirGrid All-Ireland U21 Football final the previous evening, 30 April. Cork take on Mayo, with throw-in set for 6pm.

Both games will be shown live on TG4.
