AND SO OVER 14 months after it all began, Ireland’s World Cup 2018 qualification campaign is set to come to a close.
Starting with the 2-2 draw with Serbia on 5 September 2016, there have been 11 games featuring five wins, five draws and just the one defeat for Martin O’Neill’s side.
After Saturday’s scoreless draw in Copenhagen, all eyes turn to the Aviva Stadium tonight for the second leg of the play-off against Denmark that will decide who will be flying to Russia next summer and who is going to be watching at home.
So what do you think the outcome will be – are Ireland going to qualify for a first World Cup since 2002 or will Denmark reach their first World Cup since 2010?
Let us know.
