First Tebow, now Johnny Football is back throwing touchdowns

Back-up QBs of the world unite.

THE WORST JOB in the world today?

Sports radio presenters in Cleveland having to listen to all the calls for Johnny Manziel to be immediately named the Browns starting quarterback.

Thursday night, Johnny Football threw his first touchdown pass of the pre-season when he finished a 96-yard drive with a 21-yard pass to Shane Wynn.

The score came against the Buffalo Bills back-up defence — though, to be fair, Manziel was playing with second string players himself — and wasn’t enough to help his team to the win with the Bills coming out on top 11-10.

On the long drive, the young QB showed signs of the type of play that made him so exciting to watch in college when he rolled out of the pocket and connected with a receiver on a long pass:

Whatever those calling in to sports radio in Cleveland have to say today though, Josh McCown remains favourite to be the starting quarterback for the Browns this season — despite being intercepted twice and sacked three times in Thursday’s game.
