Sparta force two players to train with women's team after saying 'they belong at the stove'

Tomas Koubek and Lukas Vacha made the remarks on social media.

TWO CZECH REPUBLIC internationals have been told to train with Sparta Prague’s women’s team after telling a female official ‘they belong at the stove.’

Goalkeeper Tomas Koubek and midfielder Lukas Vacha made the comments after the club’s 3-3 draw with Brno on Saturday, saying women ‘should not officiate men’s football.’

Their insults were directed towards Lucie Ratajova, who didn’t flag Brno midfielder Alois Hycka offside before he scored the game’s equalising goal in injury time.

Koubek and Vacha will now spend a couple of times with Sparta’s women’s team after the club’s chief executive, Adam Kotalik, called the remarks ‘unacceptable.’

“The players will spend several days with the club’s female side so that they can be made aware that women have plenty of worth outside the kitchen,” he said.
